Bradford, UK – 27 July 2025 – The Bradford Hindu Council is proud to announce a meaningful new partnership with the National Trust, marking a significant step towards inclusive cultural engagement and community representation at historic properties.

This landmark partnership was formalised with the signing of a partnership agreement at East Riddlesden Hall by Jayaraj Nambiar, Vice Chair of the Bradford Hindu Council, and Emily Ghassempour, Senior Community Officer at the National Trust. They were joined by fellow trustees Reshma Patel, Harkishan Mistry, and Mahesh Mistry, alongside the council’s dedicated team of Diwali volunteers.

As part of this partnership, Bradford Hindu Council will co-curate and review the Diwali Festival 2025 at East Riddlesden Hall, contributing to both the celebration’s programming and the Hall’s broader cultural activities. This collaboration aims to deepen the National Trust’s connection with the communities of Keighley and Bradford, offering valuable guidance and learning opportunities that reflect the region’s cultural richness.

“This partnership is built on mutual trust, respect, and honesty. Together, we’re shaping a more inclusive environment and encouraging broader participation from global majority communities at National Trust sites,” said Jayaraj Nambiar.
