The Bradford Hindu Council (BHC) attended the West Yorkshire Lieutenancy Garden Party! On Sunday, June 22, 2025, our Chairperson, Mr. Ravinder Dharni, and Trustee/PRO, Mr. Deepak Sharma, had the distinct honour of representing and attending this special event hosted by the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, Ed Anderson CBE, at the beautiful Bowcliffe Hall in Bramham.
It was humbling and inspiring to be part of a gathering that celebrated so many contributors to our region, including recipients of the King’s and Queen’s Voluntary Awards. We were particularly pleased to see other civic Lord Mayors from across West Yorkshire, including the new Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Mohammed Shafiq. It was also very nice to connect with many familiar faces, including all our dear friends from the interfaith leadership groups and the Deputy Lieutenants (DLs) of Bradford, it felt like a big, friendly gathering of people who care about our Bradford community and who share close ties with Deepak, Ravinder, and the BHC.
Being there shows our presence at such a significant event underscores the BHC’s commitment to active community engagement and our role within Bradford and the broader West Yorkshire landscape. It was a proud moment for the BHC and our community, and we look forward to continuing to keep building these connections to contribute positively to our diverse region.
